How does Murmur make money?

We make money when practitioners make money. We take a small fee on every booking and subscription that occurs, and that helps us mitigate some costs like our servers, payment portals, and team. Most of our profit is circulated back through the company to help fund practitioners.

Does it cost money to join Murmur?

It doesn't cost a single penny to sign up for Murmur, and start browsing. You can book a 1 on 1 session with any practitioner on the platform without a subscription to them! However, once you find the right teacher for you, you can choose to support that teacher by paying them a monthly or annual subscription.

If you're a practitioner, Murmur doesn't cost anything to you. We're here to help, and to drive our mission forward, together – and spread wellness to every pocket of the world in an affordable and easy to watch/learn way.

What is Murmur? How does it work?

Murmur is a streaming and booking platform for wellbeing that gives people easy access to the wisdom and experts they need to thrive. We're putting the world's health & wellness wisdom in the pocket of every person and partnering with practitioners as they develop a global audience.

We partner with practitioners to assist in everything from marketing and production to partnerships and global reach. We believe that the individual practitioners hold the key to spreading knowledge of wellness to people - and we are here to support them.

How do I leave a review for a practitioner?

After your session ends with a practitioner, you'll be sent to a page where you can give your practitioner a star rating, and a written comment (short and simple is great!) to tell the world and others how great your practitioner was. Have any complaints? You can contact our customer support team here to tell us about it. We make sure our practitioners are vetted and highly qualified to do what they do, and have a zero-tolerance policy on any type of abuse, harassment or misconduct.

How do I add a payment method?

You can add a payment method after clicking on the "My Account" page from the menu on the top right of the platform. From there, you'll find the "Payment Methods" tab on the left side underneath "Subscriptions."

You'll need to add a Billing Address for the added card to work, which you can also add from the same page as adding a payment method.

How do I change my password?

You can change your password by going to the "My Account" page on the menu in the top right of the platform. Underneath the general information section, you'll find the place to change your password underneath the input field of "email address."

How do I contact a practitioner?

You can only contact practitioners that you have booked a session with. After you book a session with a practitioner, you'll be able to message them immediately from the "Bookings" page accessed by the menu on the top right of the platform. Just click on "Contact" on the corresponding session card.

How do I link my account to Google?

You can link your Google account to your Murmur account by going to the "Account" page on the menu, accessed by hovering over your name and thumbnail on the top right of the page.

How do I change my personal info?

You can change your personal info (display name, e-mail, password, etc.) by going to the "Account" page on the menu, accessed by hovering over your name and thumbnail on the top right of the page.

How do I set "what I'm feeling?"

You can set "what you're feeling" from the "Account" tab in the menu, accessed by hovering over your name and thumbnail on the top right of the page. This section is important to update from time to time, as we'll be recommending videos to you based on what and how you're feeling.

How do I join a session that I booked?

You can join the session you booked by going to the "Booking" tab from the menu accessed by hovering over your name and thumbnail in the top right corner. From there, you'll see a "Join Session" button appear 1 hour before your session begins. You will also receive an email from us 1 hour before your session, where you'll be sent to join the session as well!

How do I reschedule a session I already booked?

You can access all your booked sessions from the "Bookings" tab in the menu accessed by hovering over your name and photo on the top right. From there, just click on reschedule and you'll be redirected! Also remember, you can only reschedule sessions 48 hours in advance.

Will I get charged for canceling a session I already booked?

As long as you cancel the session 24 hours before the session begins, you will not get charged for it. However, please keep in mind that the practitioners spend a lot of time preparing and have sensitive schedules, so please be aware of your own calendar before committing to booking a session!

How do I book a practitioner?

You can book a session from the "Book a Session" tab in the central navigation menu, to the right of "Practitioners." Alternatively, while you're watching a video, you can instantly book a session with whomever video you're watching by clicking on the "Book Now" button underneath the video.
